Caring for your furniture
Fires /radiators instructions
Where possible please avoid placing your Cinta furniture in front of or near direct heat. Wood is a natural product and whilst our teak is well seasoned any change in temperature will cause the wood to shrink or expand. Placing a piece of furniture up against a radiator will exaggerate this and may cause unsightly shrinkage in the wood. We would always recommend a one metre distance from a heat source.
Polish
Day to day, our furniture can simply be wiped clean with a duster. However, for table tops that will endure heavier use, we recommend applying a small amount of bees wax polish. This should be rubbed into the wood using a duster and buffed to a gorgeous shine. These layers of polish will nourish and maintain your Cinta furniture for years to come.
Please also use placemats and coasters and avoid placing hot cups and plates directly onto the wood surface as it will result in a chalky white ring. If you do accidentally create a white ring, simply apply jasco ring remover by rubbing the area with the small cloth. Provided this is done as soon as the stain happens it should remove the ring more effectively than any other products we have tested.
Teak dye can prove enormously useful for the occasional scratch on to regain the lovely teak finish. Please be aware that this is a stain is not recommended near cream carpets or whilst wearing white shirts.
